Emmerton, Foster, & Putnam
William H. Emmerton (1828-1873) and Joseph C. Foster (1829-1906), architects and engineers, were located at 6 Central Street, Salem, Massachusetts, in 1853 and later in the Asiatic Building on Washington Street (now 125 Washington Street), which was designed by Emmerton and Foster and completed in 1855. Charles A. Putnam (1828-1899) was the surveyor on many of their projects and engineered railroad bridges. This collection of their architectural drawings and project specifications is arranged as follows:
