- Description
- Graphic designs and panels of document reproductions featured in the exhibition and accompanying annotations. These panels present documents illustrating legal procedures during the prosecution of women accused of witchcraft during the Salem Witch Trials of 1692, as well as written responses from both the accused and other Salem locals, including correspondence, petitions, warrants, and testimony both in support of and against the accused. Other documents also illustrate the aftermath of the Salem Witch Trials and the attempts by various parties to clear the reputations of the accused through petitions and legal proposals, the last of which was finalized in 2021. Please note that the gray squares in these images are placeholders for QR codes linking to the digitized documents in this exhibition.
