Ann Maria Kimball Pingree Family Papers
Ann Maria Kimball was born to Nathaniel Kimball (1777-1821) and Sarah Knight (1780-1849) on April 9, 1804 in Plaistow, New Hampshire. She married David Pingree (1795-1863) in 1824. They had seven children: Thomas Perkins (1830-1876); Asa (1833-1846); David (1835-1836); Annar (1839-1911); David (1841-1932); Ann Maria (1843-1844); Ann Maria (1846-1927). She died on March 20, 1893 in Salem, Massachusetts.
The Ann Maria Kimball Pingree Papers contain correspondence and other documents related to Ann Maria Kimball Pingree as well as to the Pingree, Kimball, and Brown families. Correspondence includes: thank you notes from relatives for Christmas gifts; correspondence from her daughters while in the United States and abroad in Europe; letters of condolences after the passing of her husband David in 1863; and correspondence between her children. The digital collection also includes personal receipts, calling cards, copies of poems and bible verses, carte de visite and cabinet card photographs of family members, one daguerreotype, one ambrotype, two tintypes, and cabinet cards of Cape Cod and Provincetown, Massachusetts. The records were digitized with the support of the Pingree heirs.
