Thomas Perkins Pingree Papers
Thomas Perkins Pingree (1830-1876) was the son of David Pingree (1795-1863), and he was largely involved in the trade of animal skins with Africa. The Thomas Perkins Pingree Papers, 1831-1889, include business correspondence, ships' papers, and papers related to the settlement of his estate. The papers digitized in this online collection represent only a small portion of the 21 boxes of archival material held by the Phillips Library and relate primarily to Thomas Perkins Pingree's maritime shipping interests. These papers were digitized with the support of the Pingree heirs.
